About
This is the file cabinet in my office. I’ve always thought that you can tell a lot about a person by what they have in their personal space. Of course, everything you see here has a deeper story, because there’s always more to a person that what you can see on the surface.
By trade I am a teacher, educational materials writer, artist, and higher education student services professional. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Spanish from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University Billings in Billings, Montana. I have an interest in alternative healing modalities and completed a certificate in Polarity Therapy through Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona.
Currently I’m a readmission counselor for the Leavitt School of Health at Western Governors University. I’ve been in higher education student services for 10 years, including study abroad, financial aid education, transfer credit evaluation, academic advising, and enrollment services. I’ve dedicated my career to encouraging and empowering students to succeed.
My interests include gardening, art, creative writing, music, foreign language and travel, web design, and spending time in nature. I like to read hopeful stories that inspire people to envision a better future.
